Freeman Parsons

Freeman was born on July 10, 1951 in McCivers, Newfoundland. He was the 5th of 16 children to Avril (Morgan) and Chesley Parsons. Freeman and his 15 siblings grew up on a farm in a small town. He eventually made his big move to Ontario where he met the love of his life, Deserie, at the Old Block House in Etobicoke. They married on February 24, 1984 and soon had their four children Cory, Kenny, Crystal and Kristan. He often said that Deserie was the biggest supporter of any adventure he chose to take on
Over the years Freeman was an avid outdoorsman whose favourite pastime was hunting or fishing with his best buddies. As the years went on and he was no longer able to partake in hunting, you could almost guarantee he was at the trailer at Pike Lake with his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends by his side. You could find them fishing, swimming and roasting marshmallows over an open fire all while listening to Cory play live guitar.
Freeman was a loyal and proud Toronto Maple Leafs fan who never missed a game on the tv.
Freeman was a devoted and hardworking family man who cherished every moment with his wife, 4 kids and 7 grandkids.
After a very long and hard battle, Freeman peacefully passed away (too soon and too young) on December 27, 2018. He will be forever missed and in our hearts

Deserie, Crystal and Kristan. We cannot find the words to say, that would help ease the pain you are feeling. I would like to believe He is fishing now, in peace and He is free of pain. We will treasure the times of playing cards, watching horror scary movies, stories from down East but mostly we will miss Freeman.
We want to offer our deepest sympathy our sincere condolences but, Deserie, keep his love in your heart, keep his memories alive and know that my heart truly aches for you sis to have to endure this so young in your life. Mom will help guide you, you are not alone and we too are here for you.

Deserie, I,ve just opened the message minutes ago and it shoked me. Freeman was a geat, honest man and hunting companion with amasing positive attitude. To me he is still alive, specially when I recall often talking and joking with him on 1285 Lakeshore Rd E. I’m sure he will be missed by many. Please accept my true condolence.
