David Hart
David and Daniele Hart wish to extend deepest sympathy and condolences to Gerda and all of Christel’s family. David has known Christel for close to thirty years and remembers the first time visiting her at her home in North Bay, Ontario and being most impressed to see one of her walls decorated with a huge Star Trek poster. From that day onward, Christel and David have shared many conversations about science fiction, religion and spirituality, astrology, contemporary social issues, and their shared German heritage which always provided such a close bond! Although decades separated them in age, Christel and David shared a deep and lovely friendship which David will cherish forever. Christel and David often spoke of death and dying, something which both have experienced plenty of in life. Christel had a deep trust in the Great Power under-girding all of life and was not in the slightest afraid of dying. Rather, she simply saw death as a continuation of the great adventure of life itself. David has no doubt that her wonderful spirit continues in the multitudinous dimensions of being with great joy, curiosity and love! Therefore, may all who knew her be at peace and bless her new journey with your on-going love!

How can one encapsulate the sharing of joy, laughter, tears, wonderment, caring of close to 50 years. Christel was always there to support of us in our travels through the universe and time, providing private guidance and wisdom. No topic was taboo and the scope of topics were interesting. What a wonderful age to attain. What a wonderful impact Christel made on so many lives. We are sad that we cannot be with the family to join in the celebration of Christel’s life on Friday, but she knows that she is deep in our thoughts and heart. We are with the family in spirit on Friday and will continue to support Peter and Gerda through many more years of friendship and love. We celebrate Christel from British Columbia and raise a glass of wine to toast her and thank her for so much.
