I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Chris. My sincerest condolences to the family. There are really no words that could ever justify a life being cut so short or so unfairly. What was remarkable about Chris was that while he had little power over his condition or where it was going, he kept control where he could to the end. He maintained his sense of humour, quick to crack a joke and encourage a laugh even when there was little to find funny. My kindred spirit on that front!
It was a long and hard battle but this was not a fight lost. This was a young man taking control of circumstances and walking away. In my heart, that’s a big win.
Rest easy Buddy. Say hi to Pops for me.

Incredibly well said! Thank you Shelly!
