Your Dad hired me on at Burlair when I was a 17 year old kid who wanted to get into aviation. I will be forever in his debt for that. 40 years later I still think about him often as he, Art Hansher and their Chief Flying Instructor at the time, Len Archer, gave me a “foot in the door”. He was a wonderful man who had a dream to start a local flight school, that, to this day, is still in operation. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We were so sorry to hear of Joel’s passing.
I have many fond memories of time spent with Joel as he worked on his model airplanes and hung them from the ceiling in his basement. He was passionate about planes and I was so happy when he was able to work in the industry.

I was shocked to learn that cousin Joel has passed. And he passed on the last day of Passover. Growing up we shared so many beautiful Passover Seders together at Auntie Esther and Uncle Sid’s house or at Auntie Bertha and Uncle Sam’s house. We always sat at the kid’s table. I think of those days every Passover and miss them terribly! Dear Gail, Ellie and Andrew, I am so sorry for your loss. May your Dad rest in peace! Love, Lisee & John and Family

I worked with Joel for 8 years in the Burlington Costco. He always said hi, and was always nice to me.
I will look for moments and signs in my day that will remind me of him.
They obviously needed a strong soldier up there!
Miss you Joel

Sorry to read about Joel’s passing. I worked with him and the late Ted Winnick at the North “Y”. We were lifeguards together. I loved his smile and his ‘joie de vivre”.
