MERILYN MAE TAYLOR (nee Miller)

Passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Monday, April 12, 2021 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Glen A. Taylor and cherished Mom of Jillian (Lorie), Jennifer (Brian) and Jamie (Jessica). Much loved Nana of Sam, William, Bryce, Maggie and Jude. Predeceased by her brother, Donald Miller. Sorely missed by all her family and friends, especially her lifelong friends, Pat Reilly and Betty Melville. We are grateful for the compassionate care shown to our mother and our family by the nurses and doctors on 2E at Markham Stouffville.
Donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Markham Stouffville or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of Mom’s life will be held at a later date.

Farewell my dearest and much loved friend. You will be missed every day. 69 years of the best of friends. I don’t know what I will do with the Toronto Star crossword now with you not here to help me. 11 years ago you taught me how to do and enjoy crossword puzzles. You were definitely the expert.
RIP Merle. Love you Always
Paul

I was lucky enough to get to know Merle through her daughter, Jennifer. Merle opened her home and invited me into the family with open arms. Jillian, Jennifer, and Jamie are a reflection as to how they’re raised. I’m grateful for the time and memories created to reflect on her life and love of her adoring family. Merle’s family shows us that you don’t have to be blood related to be a part of the family.
With a heavy heart and much love, Tanya
