It is with great sadness the family of Joel Swerdlow announces his passing. Joel Swerdlow passed away on April 27th, 2019 in Burlington, Ontario. Joel is survived by his two grandchildren Aurora and Artan, children Elly and Andrew and their mother Gail. Joel studied Electronics Technology at George Brown College and was a pioneer in telecommunications technology. He worked most of his career in the video conferencing industry. Joseph Warman: Died peacefully on April 29, 2019, in his home with his daughters. Joe was a war child, student, poet, actor, philosopher, friend, son, brother, father and grandfather Born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine (USSR), on November 3, 1940 he survived the war with a tenacious mother, Riva (aka: Rega) who fled to Ural, deep Russia. There a young Joseph was in and out of an orphanage so Riva could work. No one, including Joe, could get enough food, always being hungry resulted in stunted growth and a stunted childhood. Monica Wardley (nee McHale) 1926 – 2019, 92 years young, passed away peacefully on Friday April 5, 2019 at MacKenzie Health Richmond Hill, after a twelve year journey with Alzheimer’s. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes. Monica was born in Liverpool, England. After the war, her and her husband, Peter, and children, Michael and Ruth, emigrated to Canada in 1952. Here both of them became teachers and enjoyed raising their children. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
