Gordon, aged 63, grew up in McAdam, New Brunswick and passed away at Toronto General Hospital from complications of a heart attack. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Yin Ye, and his stepdaughter, Shannon (Xiaonan) Liang, who recently arrived in Canada with Gordon from China. He was predeceased by his parents, William Kennedy (1995) and Muriel McDermott-Kennedy (1997), along with several aunts, uncles and two cousins. It’s with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Caroline Mary (Sharpe) Sampson 77 of Scarborough, Ontario, formerly of Amherst, Nova Scotia on May 8th, 2017 at Hamilton General Hospital. Born to the late Evangeline Margaret (Gaudet) and Frederick Joseph Sharpe. Carol worked as a mailroom supervisor at the Toronto Dominion Bank. She took great pride in her job. Carol enjoyed country music, weekends at the trailer with friends and visiting the East Coast with her family and friends. Valerie Morrison On the early morning of April 29, 2017 our beloved Valerie peacefully went to rest, eternally with her late husband Godfrey. Valerie Joan Morrison nee Fung was born in Georgetown Guyana on May 5, 1940.  Immediately after high school she began a career with Royal Bank of Canada. She met the love of her life Godfrey in 1957 and they married in 1967.  They both enjoyed their banking careers as well as their four Germain Shepherd dogs.  They moved to Toronto in 1977. She loved to take long road trips with Godfrey until his untimely passing in 1986. read more …

It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to Michael Gillis Purcell who passed away suddenly April 16, 2017 at age 57 Michael was born and raised in Montreal’s West Island,  where he developed a passion for the Habs and the Expos, a flair for speaking French and an appreciation for fine food and beautiful women. Upon graduating from Concordia University he followed in his father’s footsteps and began work in the paper business, which brought him to his adopted home town of Toronto, and closer to the Purcell fishing cabin at Eels Lake, where many memorable experiences unfolded. read more …
