I absolutely loved bob with all my heart. We connected on a level of friendship few people get to witness. Although I wasn’t able to spend as much time as I would have liked with him. Whenever we would see each other there would be a mutual happiness that I will always cherish. I am saddened that I was unaware of his illness and shocked by the news of his passing.
Bob really meant something to me and he left an important impact on my soul.

So Sad.
Bob and I met when we were both very young.
Along with his brothers we terrorized the Balm Beach area for many years in the late 60’s, early 70’s.
I lived with the Poole family at the dance hall during those years and will for ever consider them my brothers.
I will miss you Bob.

My condolences to the Poole family.
I am saddened to hear of Bobs passing.
Bob was a great guy and fun to be around way back in the days of high school and growing up at Balm Beach. Together in auto mechanics we rebuilt the best engine that had been done up to then. While others were starting on fire, our started up and just purred! We just stood looking around at the rest and laughed. And that’s what Bob did best. Laugh. The guy always had a smile on his face and was always joking around. It’s was fun times. Neither of us became auto mechanics, but went into different careers, and like many friendships drifted apart and on down different roads in life. Then once every ten or fifteen years you cross paths with an old friend. You reminisce, have a good laugh and solve the problems of the world. Then shake hands and head off back to your own lives.
Gone but never forgotten.
Bobs old friend,
Rick Smith
