Sandra Lynne Spears

April 1950-December 2019
Sandra was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Victor Spears and grew up in the Governor’s Bridge area of East York. She often spoke with fondness about memories of the neighbourhood, her childhood friends and playing hockey and baseball with the boys.
She attended Bennington Heights Public School, Leaside High, and Centennial College.
Sandra spent her career in advertising, most notably at Saffer and Kert before going out on her own to freelance. She was creative, quick witted and clever and made many life-long friends with her coworkers and even some of her talent.
When Sandra retired from advertising, she spent time caring for her aging parents and worked part time at both Bennington Heights and Bessborough schools.
More recently she spent time at the cottage and had begun travelling more, exploring parts of Canada in 2018/2019. Her VIA Rail stories were plentiful!
A memorial service will be held in April, details can be found at www.sandrasmemorial.wixsite.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sick Kids Hospital would be welcome.

Gone too soon.
Dear Sharon so sorry to hear of your loss. Your father loved the three of you so much. He talked of you so often. He was so very proud of you all.
Your father was mentor to me. He treated me very kindly. I was very fond of him. My prior boss was horrible.
